Age 68Y 6M
Daughter of Charles Kelley of Baltimore County Maryland
Waterloo Press Waterloo IN May 1, 1879
SARAH KELLELY BAXTER WORTH died at the residence of her son-in-law HM Henning Esq in Smithfield on Friday morning April 25, 1879; aged 68 years and 6 months.
The subject of this notice settled in this county with her first husband, John Baxter, in 1841, the county then being largely unbroken wilderness. Upon his death in 1853, she was left with a family of eight children, most of whom were quite small. To these, in a large sense, she afterwards filled the place of both parents.
Several years after being left a widow, she married William Worth, whom she also survived.
For a year or more she had been in failing health, but was only confined to her room for four days, and suffered comparatively little. The remains were buried Saturday afternoon beside those of her first husband in the Hamilton cemetery.
Funeral services will be held on next Sunday forenoon at half past ten o’clock in the UB church of this place by Elder ZW Shepherd to which all friends and acquaintances are invited.
