SWAINSBORO -- Lee Roy Newman, 90, died Aug. 31 at the V.A. Medical Center in Augusta.
He was a native of Hancock County, an Army veteran of World War II and a retired painter.
SURVIVORS: five nephews, Barney Newman of Augusta, Tom Newman of Florida, Bobby Newman, Roy Joe Boulineau and Billy Boulineau, all of Swainsboro; and a niece, Betty Jean Hatcher of Beverly Hills, Fla.
