Stanley Ray Pierce, born July 2, 1959, in Louisville, Jefferson County,Kentucky, passed away Feb. 3, 2015, in Santa Ana after a lenghty illness. He was 55. Please join us in celebrating his life April 4, 1-4 p.m., at Petroglyph Park. We will have food, drinks and desserts for all who come. Stan, a US Navy veteran, served at Miramar Naval Air Station and China Lake Naval Weapons Center. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for the past 29 years in Ridgecrest, where he was well known and well loved by all who knew him. He was fondly known by many as Stan the Man. In 1996 Stan was recognized as a hero for saving a young lady from a vicious dog attack while delivering mail on his route. Stan, an avid fisherman, enjoyed fishing with friends telling neverending fish stories and countless life experiences. He would bring laughter to all who were around him. A true, loyal and dedicated friend, he will be missed by the many who knew him. He is survived by his daughter, Erin Pierce, and son, Mitch Pierce, both from Washington. He is also survived by his mother Shirley Pierce, sister Pamela, and brothers Danny , Jerry and Ronnie, all from Evansville. He is also survived by Wesley, his life partner, of Ridgecrest.
