Samuel E. Bayne Missing, a policeman of Pittsburg, PA, and the son of Samuel W. Bayne has been missing since February 6. Although a diligent search has been made for him by relatives and the police authorities of Pittsburg, no clue as to his whereabouts has been discovered. Formerly lived at Towson, MD. The missing man left the police
station on the day of his disappearance
and had secured a leave of absence, but never reached home. He had come into favorable notice for his work in securing evidence against violators of the cocaine law, and had an excellent record. He disappeared completely as if the earth had swallowed him up. The family of patrolman Bayne believe he was murdered.
