Frank E. Rice, 52, was the son of Frank Earl and Clara (Tinker) Rice. He died at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston.
He was educated in St. Johnsbury and Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in 1940.
He married Nellie A. Dow in New York City on Feb. 13, 1945.
Mr. Rice worked at the Con Automatic Machine Co in Windsor before serving in the European and Pacific areas in WWII.
He then worked for Festival Foods, Inc. of Boston.
He lived for 20 years in New York state, then moving to Lowell, MA and Springfield, MA for the past five years.
He was a member of the Vermont Lodge 18, F & AM and there was a Masonic service as well as a funeral at Knight Funeral home with Rev. Nelson Cheney officiating.
Mr. Rice was survived by his mother; a daughter, Sheila; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Levesque and Mrs. Donald Blanchard.
