Helen Griggs Dow, 92, was the daughter of George and Alice Griggs. She passed away at Mr. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center's Skilled Nursing Facility in Windsor.
She married Jesse P. Dow in Windsor. He died in 1986.
Mrs. Dow was a past member and past President of the World War Mothers, a 46 year member of the Ascutney Chapter #2 Order of Eastern Star, and the former Baptist Church in Windsor. She volunteered at the Red Cross blood drawings in Windsor.
Survivors included her daughter-in-law, Beverly M. Dow; two sisters, Gladys Blow and Marion Currier, and a special niece, Joyce Dow.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Nellie A. Rice in 1974; one son, Alan P. Dow in 1990; and by three sisters, Anna Chase, Florence Carr and Ruth McKay.
