Darin Lisle Brook, age 31, died Saturday, November 10, 2012, in Kyle, Texas. He was a resident of Converse, Texas. A memorial service was held Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at New Hope Baptist Church, 200 New Hope Drive, Milam, Texas 75959. Darin was born on July 31,1981 at Fort Lewis, Washington to Lisle and Janis Brook. Darin was a beloved son who did his best at everything. At age 7 he suffered severe traumatic head injury when hit by a car. In spite of this disability, he was an independent and responsible man. He was a gentle-natured, kind, honest, hard-working, devoted husband to his wife Jessica. His devotion to his wife, Jessica, as well as his desire to be a Godly and responsible husband and son is what he will be remembered for. Darin graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. As a teacher at Windward Nazarene Academy, he met Jessica Lopes, a fellow teacher, whom he married in 2007. Jessica died at the age of 30 on Friday, November 2, 2012, in Gainesville, Texas. Jessica's death was too much for Darin to bear, and he took his own life to be reunited with his precious wife.
