Mary Abbot, his first wife, daughter of William and Mary Barlow of Spondon, died on 30th November 1783.

Sarah Abbot, his second wife, daughter of Stephen and Martha Higgins of Pontesbury, Shropshire, died on 4th April 1796.

Sarah Gregory, wife of William Gregory of Shipley, daughter of Henry and Sarah Abbot of Mapperley, died on 26th March 1821 aged 28.
