She was born Nov. 6, 1925, in Springfield, Ill., to Clarence and Eliza Tippett. She married Homer Horn, Jr. on March 2, 1947, in Taylorville, Ill. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2002. She also was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Surviving are three sons, Arlen (Connie) Horn of Maumelle, Ark., Gary (Vicki) Horn of Morton and Michael (Melissa) Horn of East Peoria; five grandchildren; Rod (Amy) Jones, Jennifer (Josh) Haag, Jesse Horn, Landon Goode and Morgan Goode; three great-grandchildren, Addison Haag, Greyson Haag and Reid Jones; and one sister, Anna Peterson of California.
Mickey was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Morton.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at American Mausoleum in Peoria, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Doug Habegger officiating. Entombment will be at the mausoleum.
Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.
