Michael was born to Lloyd Eugene Osborn (Big Oz) and Corinne (Price) Osborn of Prairie City, Iowa on November 13, 1952. He entered into the eternal arms of his savior on Monday March 16, 2015 at the age of 62 years 4 months and 3 days.

Michael attended Prairie City Schools. He enlisted in the United States Marines during the Viet Nam conflict in February of 1970, left active service in February of 1973 and was in the Marine reserves until February 1976. He reached the rank of Master Sergeant. He earned the Rifle Expert Badge, the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was very proud of his service to his country--Once a Marine always a Marine! SEMPER FI!!!

He married Pamela Skeffington of Mitchellville, Iowa. Two boys were born during this union.

Michael chose to follow in his father's footsteps and spend his adult life in the trucking industry--mostly as an owner-operator. He travelled coast to coast, border to border and beyond. He made lifelong friends everywhere he went. He had previously lived in Cleveland, Ohio, and for the last several years resided in Hempstead, Texas. He returned to Iowa in the late summer of 2014 after learning of his terminal cancer diagnosis. He eventually moved in with his older sister in Stratford, Iowa and then 5 days before he passed he moved to Stratford Nursing and Rehab Center where he continued on hospice care.

Michael is survived by his mother, Corinne of Stratford, Iowa, his sister Penny also of Stratford, and his sister Paula (Don) Stockton of Johnston, Iowa. He is also survived by Michael and Marty Osborn and Michael's children. He also leaves behind a niece and nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins and his many good friends. He is preceded in death by his father Eugene, his grandparents, and an uncle.
