Donna Joy (McManus) Craft, 86, of Belle Vernon, formerly of Long Branch, left to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, April 4, 2015. She was in her home surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born April 30, 1928, in Allenport, a daughter of the late Patrick and Dorothy Balmer McManus, and was raised in California, Pa. Donna attended the California School District until her senior year, when the family moved to Allenport. She then graduated from the Charleroi Area High School. Donna married William Craft and was a wonderful mother to their two children, Billy and Diane. Donna and family remained in the Mon Valley area and, in 1981, she and Bill built a home in Long Branch where they spent more than 30 years. Donna was blessed with three grandchildren and she and Bill enjoyed having the grandchildren visit them on the farm. She was a member of Covenant Christian Church, Belle Vernon, where she participated on the worship team for many years. Donna had a beautiful soprano voice and enjoyed singing and giving praise to her Lord. Donna was always willing to share her testimony of how God came into her life and His everlasting love. Donna was faithful in her study of God's word and became a Bible scholar. She will be remembered as a kind, generous woman who believed in the power of prayer and was always willing to take time to pray with someone in need. Memories of Donna Joy Craft will bring a smile to the faces of those who were blessed to know her in the life. Her family and friends look forward to meeting her again in heaven and hearing that beautiful voice singing praises of the King of Kings! She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diane Joy and Dennis Widmer, of Belle Vernon; and two grandsons, David Widmer and Luke Widmer. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Craft; son, William P. Craft; sister, Dorothy Gardner; granddaughter, Amy Widmer Wentorth; and great-granddaughter, Holly Wentworth. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME and CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Parzynski Funeral Home and Cremations, with the Rev. Dr. Frank J. DePolo of Covenant Christian Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will take place in Howe Cemetery. Condolences accepted at the funeral homes website, www.parzynskifuneralhome.com.
