William David Longberg, formerly of Goff, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Carrie LePorin at Augusta, Kansas at the age of sixty-five. He came to Kansas in 1880 and was married to Ella Woodburn. His wife, four children and three sisters survive him. Mr. Longberg was a member of the M. E. Church. Five years ago the family moved to Sharon Springs, Kansas, his late home.

William David Longberg was born in Pittsburg, Pa., August 23, 1854. He came to Kansas when a young man. He united in marriage with Ella Woodburn, December 4, 1880. His wife survives him. To this union were born five children, Mrs. Carrie Leporin of Augusta, Kan.; Mrs. Grace Butler of Sharon Springs, Kan.; Odessa Longberg of Topeka; Clyde Longberg of Sharon Springs, and Lowell Longberg, who departed this life in 1914. He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Reynolds of McLouth, Kan.; Mrs. Johnston of Corning, Kan., and Mrs. Metzker of Findlay, Ohio. Mr. Longberg united with the M. E. church years ago .... Burial was made in the Holton cemetery.
