FOUNTAIN FUNERAL SERVICE FRIDAY

LAS CRUCES, N.M., March 18, ----
Funeral services for Albert J. Fountain, pioneer resident of New Mexico, who died yesterday at his home in Old Mesilla, will be held Friday at 9 a.m. in Old Mesilla with Elias Zuniga officiating. He was 71.
At Mr. Fountain’s funeral services, a song written by him will be sung as part of the funeral music. Burial will be in St. Albino’s Cemetery.
A few hours after Mr. Fountain’s death yesterday, Mrs. Candelario Chaves de Lujan, sister of the wife of A. J. Fountain Jr., died at Old Mesilla. She was 49.
Mrs. Chavez de Lujan is survived by a son, Ed. Of Los Angeles, Cal.; five sisters, Mrs. Fountain, Mrs. Leo Higden of St. Louis, Mrs. Joe Reynolds of Watrous, N. M., Mrs. Griggs of old Mesilla, and Mrs. Andrew Cull of Topeka; and two brothers, Manuel Chavez of Albuquerque and Demetrio Chavez of Los Angeles.
Funeral services will be held at Las Cruces today.
