Henry G. Myers, 76, of Springfield died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Hospital.
He was born Nov. 10, 1915, in Effingham, the son of John W. and Lula Mae Gones Myers.
He married Elizabeth Wood in 1938 in Palmyra, Mo.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill.
A resident of Springfield since 1939, Mr. Myers was a retired carpenter and former owner of B and H Home Hobbies and Ceramics.
He was a member of Carpenters Union Local 16.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth L.; a son; a daughter; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; three brothers, Richard of Joliet, Bob of Edmond, Okla., and Max of Borger, Texas; four sisters, Dorothy Topp, Mrs. Paul (Fern) Askew and Marcella Aldridge, all of Effingham, and Mrs. Ted (Babe) Mastin of Pampa, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Vancil Memorial Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Donald Full officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
