Preceded in death by parents, Barney & Gladys Payne, daughter, Debra Kolonay, son William Shaffer, Jr., infant son, brothers, Donald & Steve Payne. Survived by wife, Nancy; daughters, Donna (John) Tucker, and Cynthia Shaffer; grandchildren, Kelly (Grady) McCormick, Pete (Joan) Sanders, Erin Bay, Austen Tucker, Brad Whitaker, and Chris Wimberly; six great-grandchildren, brothers; Jerry & Mitchell Payne, sisters; Barbara (Dick) Blackwell and Carol (Woody) Boyd, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Payne was a member of First Baptist Church, Lake Placid, FL. Visitation will be Sunday, March 13th from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and one hour prior to service. Service will be held at Anderson & Garrett Chapel on Monday, March 14th at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Young Cemetery, Bold Springs, TN. ANDERSON & GARRETT, JOELTON (615)876-2968
