Jeffery Lance Young, age 45, of 727 Lind, died on Monday, April 16, 2012 in Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He was born on April 28, 1966 in Quincy, IL the son of William & Marie (Crider) Young. He first married Regina Walton. He later married Antoinette Weldon.

Mr. Young was a worker at the Walter Hammond Daycare Center. Jeffery was a treasure hunter who has now found his truest treasure in heaven. He was also an amazing handyman who helped everyone he could. Jeffery was a member of the Gethsemane Gospel Center of Quincy. He also attended the Helping Hands of Hannibal, MO.

He is survived by:
HIS MOTHER: Marie Young of Quincy
FIVE CHILDREN: Della Thomas, Turquoia Wyatt and her husband Duan, Jeffery Young, Jr., Julius Young and Alexander Young.
TWO GRANDCHILDREN: Anya Bernard and Alya Wyatt.
NINE SIBLINGS: Oliver Hunter, Angela Steele and her husband James, William Young and his wife Janice, Sharon Davis, Bruce Young and his wife Sandra, Keith Young, Lisa Sams and her husband Ronald, Kim Ashby and her husband Forrest, and Robert Young and his wife Crystal.
Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-7 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family. Duker Haugh FH
