Ashley was the only child born to Chris and Stephanie Reahm. Chris served in the Marines, in the same squadron as my husband.
When Ashley was about 6-8 months old, she was diagnosed with SCID (Severe Combined Immunodeficiency), also known as Boy in the Bubble Disease.
She spent much of her life in several different hospitals, battling this disease, and passed away Feb. 6, 1996.
She is buried in her parents' home state of Michigan. Her parents divorced shortly after she passed away.
