Shirley was the daughter of Thomas F. and Mary Alice Robinson Vandel.
Survivors: husband, Jean Puffer; son, Terry Puffer; daughters, Janet Martin and Debra Hartley; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother.
