I was born March 1, 1962 to Robert Lambert and Karen Riley Ford. I was the oldest of seven children. I was born in Fort Hood ,Texas in an army hospital. "American by birth, Texan by the grace of God". I came into this world with congenital heart defects. I have endured multiple open heart surgeries and have had ten different pacemakers over the years. I later battled liver cancer caused by cardiac cirrhosis of the liver. This made me eligible to be listed for a duel heart and liver transplant.
I was blessed with the privilege of serving a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Florida, Fort Lauderdale Mission from 1981-1982. I have continued to receive many blessings from this service throughout my life. I married Julie Ann Lynch on August 2, 1985 in the Salt Lake City Temple.
I passed away April 1, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. I was preceded in death by my wife of twenty-five years, and nephew Owen Scott McLachlan.
I am survived by my parents Robert and Karen Ford; siblings, Brad, Mark (Janalee), Scott (Shawna), Jayne (Lyle), Craig (Sarah), Susan; and several nieces and nephews.
I have endured to the end. I am grateful to family and friends for their unwavering love and support. May God be with you until we meet again.
Our family wishes to thank Dr. George Veasy, who was not only his first heart doctor in Utah, but a lifelong friend to Jeff.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015 at the LDS church located at 1100 North 250 East, Bountiful, UT. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
