Joseph is the son of Pierre Suret and Jeanne Pellerin. He married Marguerite Theriault on 17 October 1730, in Grand-Pré, Acadie. They are the parents of the following (verified with PRDH):
1) Joseph (1732-1780) md Isabelle Babineau
2) Marie-Anne-Marguerite (abt1734-1797) md (a) Paul Doucet dit Petitpaul and (b) Jean-Baptiste Pitre
3) Etienne (abt 1744-1758)
4) Marguerite (abt 1746-1835) md Jacques Tessier dit Lavigne
5) Mathurin (abt 1751-1758)
6) Francois ( -1758)
7) Anne ( -1758)

I've removed Joseph's burial place as the Petitcodiac Cemetery (it only has 2 other burials listed). I'm not sure that the true location of the cemetery is know. At the time that he died, the town was known as Petcoucoyee from 1686 until 1749. The town name changed in 1749 to Pacoudiac and then to Petitcodiac about 100 years later.
