Jack R. Lloyd, alias “Buck,” was born on May 14, 1929, in Butte, Mont., and is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart of more than 66 years, Carol; five children, Frost, Debbie, John, Michael, and Laurie; and his beloved dog, “Chloe”.

Surrounded by family and friends our strong family bonds were forever cemented as we shared in the final days of his life in his home on the mountain in Sandy, Ore. A promise made good to ensure his next journey would start at home. Laughter, love and an occasional tear filled the rooms from dusk to dawn and well beyond the midnight hour. Almost sure I saw the grimace of a smile as he passed in peace on the first day of Spring at 11:27 p.m., March 20, 2015. Each one of us in our own way wished him well and found solace, reflection and encouragement through the bonds for love of family and lessons of trust and forgiveness he gave us all as husband, father, friend, mentor and hero.

In loving memory from -- Carol, Frost, Debbie, John, Michael, Laurie, Bobby, Barbara, Greg, Ed, Jack, Nicole, Sam, Sean, Shannon, John, Julianna, Maddie, Danny, Jenny, Jeremy, Dante, Scott, Samantha, Addie, Bennett, Jackson, Scarlet, DJ, Evelyn and Harrison.
