She graduated from Fairhaven High School in 1946 and from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Providence in 1948. She worked for over 30 years as a Clerk and Bookkeeper at the former Guy's Pharmacy and then was a Clerk at Phoenix Pharmacy for a few years before retiring in 1992.
Barbara was a member of the First Congregational Church in Fairhaven. She enjoyed spending time with her family and doing crosswords to keep her mind sharp. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Isabel and the staff of The Royal for lovingly taking care of their mom.
She leaves four sons, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons. She was also the grandmother of the late John Brady Waldle.
Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday February 25, 2015 at 10 AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT FAIRLAWN, 180 Washington Street, Fairhaven, Massachusetts with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Relatives and friends invited. In lieu of flowers, Barbara asked that you make a donation to a charity of your choice.
