David Thomas "Tommy" Piland, 51, of Beaumont died July 12, 2006 at his home surrounded by his family. A lifelong resident of the area, Tommy worked as a warranty manager for Buddy Chevrolet. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Carol and Joe Polk; children, David and Sara Piland; sister, Lyn Kennett and her husband Ross; niece, Carly Galmor and her husband Dustin; beloved and faithful dog, Kasper all of Beaumont. A graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 14, 2006 at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday evening July 13, 2006 from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the mortuary. The family would like to express a special thank you to Tommy's loving care givers, Willie Mae Lewis, Betty Hayes, Mable Bordelon and Netta Hawkins.
