Born July 27, 1936, in Brookville, he was the son of the late William Mervin Gaston and Lillie Ann Geer Gaston.
Glenn married the love of his life, Minnie M. Price, on Aug. 13, 1960, and they enjoyed 51 years of marriage together until she passed away Oct. 26, 2011.
He lived in Newton Falls for most of his life and worked at Fiest Hardwoods in Newton Falls for 30 years. Until recently, he also was working for Poly-Tabletop in Lordstown since 2002. Glenn enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and gardening.
Loving memories of Glenn will be carried on by his daughters, Kathryn Gaston of Newton Falls, Glenda (Brian) Gerber of Newton Falls; his son, Martin (Marina) Gaston of Hallsville, Texas; sisters, Evelyn (George) Kite of Goldsboro, N.C., Diana (Jerry) Yard of Clarington; brothers: Dean (Ruth) Gaston of Brookville, Melvin (Carolyn) Gaston of Lordstown, Joe (Hazel) Gaston of Brookville; seven grandchildren: Sarah Gaston of El Paso, Texas, Steven (Amber) Lyden of Fort Campbell, Kan., Kayla Lyden of Columbus, Matthew Gerber of Newton Falls, Richard Verbosky of Newton Falls, and Jacob and Isabel Gaston of Hallsville, Texas.
Per Glenn's wishes, cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at James Funeral Home, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. Chalene Osterman will officiate the service.
After the memorial services, the family will be receiving friends for a luncheon at the VFW Post #3332, 433 Arlington Rd., Newton Falls, OH 44444.
The family has requested that all memorial donations be made to the Hope Center for Cancer Care 1745 Niles-Cortland Rd. Warren, OH 44484 in memory of Glenn I. Gaston.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the James Funeral Home, 8 East Broad Street, Newton Falls, OH 44444, 330-872-5440.
