Wilda G. Troxel
TROXEL, Wilda G. Age 77 of Glendale, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 1998 at a local care center. She was born August 31, 1920 in Oneida, Tennessee, daughter of C. C. and Rhoda (Phillips) Reed. She was raised and educated in Tennessee. She married Daniel Ward Troxel on April 24, 1940 in Oneida. They moved to Oregon, settling in Glendale. She returned briefly to Tennessee while Daniel served our country during World War II, but after the war they continued to make Glendale their home. She was a longtime member of the Glendale Baptist Church and she enjoyed the Glendale Senior Center. She is survived by two sons, Lynn Troxel and his wife Kay of Roseburg and Larry Troxel and his wife Lala of Camarillo, California; a brother, Hollis Reed and his wife Lena of Sunbright, Tennessee; two sisters, Pearl Douglas of Oneida, Tennessee and Arizona Elliot of Lakeland, Florida; six grandchildren, Dan Troxel and his wife Becky of Coos Bay, Mike Troxel and his wife Michelle of Roseburg, John Troxel and his wife Tracy of Camarillo, California, Neil Troxel of Camarillo, California and Lisa Foster and her husband Kyle of Camarillo, California and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel who passed away in 1993. Funeral services will be conducted at the Glendale Baptist Church on Thursday, May 14, 1998 at 2 p.m. Private interment will be at the Glendale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Wilds's memory to the Glendale Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of TAYLOR'S FAMILY CHAPEL in Winston.
