Funeral services for Lula Mae Mitchell Haynes, 66 of Kountze, will be held on Saturday, November 20 at 1:00pm at the Greater Mount Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Kountze. Burial will follow in the Kirby Cemetery in Silsbee, Texas. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 19 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at the Redeemed Church of God in Christ in Kountze.
A native of De Berry, Texas, Mrs. Haynes passed away on Monday, November 15, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.
Survivors include her husband, Ollie Haynes of Kountze, five sons; Nathan McDaniel and Mickey Haynes both of Kountze, Keith Haynes of Silsbee, Darrell Haynes of Houston, Otis Haynes of North Carolina, three daughters; Carla Haynes and Sherika Haynes both of Kountze, and Barbara Collins of Silsbee, Texas, a half sister; Carrie Henderson of Carthage, one sister; Juanita Wallace of Silsbee, one brother; R.J. Wallace of Silsbee, 40 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Robinsons Community Funeral Home in Jasper.
