Friday, April 19, 1912
James Richards, who has been extremely low for several days, passed away Wednesday morning, aged seventy-four years. Interment was made Thursday afternoon in the Weakly cemetery, the G.A.R. conducting the ceremonies. The deceased was aged 74, and was one of the early settlers of this vicinity, and a brother of the late Mrs. Wm. Hall, who gave this city its name. In early days he lived in the vicinity of Elk Falls and later at Oak Valley. He was in the Soldiers’ Home a few years ago, but returned here last winter from Oklahoma.
