Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Camilla United Methodist Church with interment in Oakview Cemetery. Rev. Ken Myers will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Chip Davis, Brent Brooks, Michael McGahee, Greg Shiver, Kevin Rogers and Terry Brown.
Born July 11, 1971, in Dougherty County, Laura was the daughter of E. Butler McDonald and Tonieta Wood McDonald. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Newnan and attended Camilla United Methodist Church. Laura graduated college with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She received a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Instructional Technology. She was a teacher at Brooks Elementary School in Newnan. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Betty Rogers, and grandfather-in-law, Buford Robinson.
Survivors include her husband, Anthony Rogers; two sons, Cortland Rogers and Cade Rogers, both of Newnan and Camilla; her parents, Butler and Tonieta McDonald of Camilla; her father-in-law, David Rogers of Newnan; two brothers, Robert McDonald of Newnan and Erskine McDonald of Athens; one sister, Susan McDonald Burris and husband, Donny, of Roswell; one brother-in-law, Kevin Rogers and wife, Jessica, of Newnan; nieces and nephews, Cameron Burris, William Burris, Reagan Burris, and Kaitlyn Rogers; and grandmother-in-law, Annie Robinson of Newnan.
Visitation will be 2–3 p.m., Saturday, one hour prior to services, at the church.
