Rodney D.Wells, age 83,of Doc Mullins Road, Frenchburg, KY., passed away Wednesday, April 1st.2015 at his home after a brief illness. He was born September 9,1931 in Scranton, KY. A son of the late Raymond Wells and Katherine (Blankenship) Wells. He serviced in the U.S. Air Force, and was a correction officer with the Middletown, Ohio jail. Besides his parents, his wife,Wanda Wells, a son, Roy H. Wells, grandson, Waylon Wells and sister, Mildred Wells preceded him in death.
Surviving is a daughter, Debra Wells & (Dr.David Bricker) of Brooklyn, NY. One son, Tracy Wells & (Jennifer Wells) of Frenchburg, KY. Daughter-in-law, Margaret Wells of Frenchburg, KY. Five grandsons, Ezra Wells of US Marine Corps, San Francisco, CA. Chris Wells of Richmond, IN.; Silas Ingram of Mt. Sterling, KY.; Max Bricker and Jeb Bricker both of Brooklyn, NY. Three granddaughters, Morgan Cain of Cythiana, KY. Amy Wells of Stanton, KY. Lori French Wendt. Three stepsons; Dwight & (Kizzy) French of Middletown, Ohio. Tim French ((Kathy) of Arkansas. Jackie &(Debbie) French of Middletown, Ohio. Several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 4,2015 at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY., with Graveside Services to follow at 1:00 PM at the GreenWade Cemetery, Frencbhurg, KY., with Rev. Alan Ratliff officiating.
