Roland Arneson, formerly a Sycamore resident, died in St. Josephs hospital, Elgin, at 9 o'clock Monday morning, he having been in the hospital with an infection since November. He had been ill about one year. The son of John H. and Mrs. Anna Gustafson Arneson, he was born in Charter Grove community, June 22, 1916. He lived here for several years, moving to his parent's home, 463 East Chicago street, Elgin.

He is survived by his widow and infant daughter, his mother, and two brothers, Evar and Donald, and one sister, Alyce, all of Elgin. His father died in October, 1937.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Kebil funeral home and at 2 o'clock from the Salem, Lutheran church, the Rev. R. A. Lundquist officiating, with burial in Elmwood cemetery.
