Daniel M. Gary, 86, Berlin RD 3, died Dec. 10, 1986, at his residence. Born Feb. 3, 1900, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, son of the late Jonas and Catherine (Bowman) Gary. Also preceded in death by sons, Dale and Wayne; three brothers, Albert, Ernest, and Ralph; and a sister, Susie Shultz. Survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Thelma King, and the following children: Oscar, Garrett, Mrs. Chauncey (Ada) Friedline, Berlin; Mrs. George (Leila) Shaffer, Somerset; Mrs. Gant (Kay) Ackerman, Glencoe; Vincent L. and George E., both of Berlin RD 4; Ross N., Somerset RD 5; Leonard R., Berlin RD 1; Mrs. Harry (Nancy) Gindlesperger, Berlin RD 3; and Donald A., Garrett; 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Elsie Plechter, Rockwood RD 3. A retired farmer, he was last employed as a security guard for Somerset Manufacturing Company. Member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. Friends were received Thursday evening and will be received Triday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Charles Harper and the Rev. Milton Morris officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
