Joshua Charles Bennett, cherished son of Linda and loving husband of Jessica, died suddenly at home on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014 after a brief illness. He was 35 years old.

Joshua was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. He was studying to become a nurse. Joshua was well versed and read. He was intelligent with a gift for Latin, mathematics, and computers. His favorite activities were reading, "Breaking Bad," "Dexter," political debates, eating Greek or Indian food, and fostering feline friends, especially his beloved Sophie. Joshua loved others and served them even in his own time of need.

He is survived by his wife, Jessica Collins Bennett; daughter, Bethany Singleton; mother, Linda Bennett, and stepfather, Jeffrey Nunn; father, Charles Bennett; brother, Jonathan Bennett; sisters, Melanie Hostetler and Laura Stead; stepbrother, Joseph Nunn; and 5 nieces and 3 nephews.

Visitation and a memorial service at Rabenhorst East Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd.
