Harold A. Davies, 91, of Fremont died Friday, March 6, 2015 at his home.

He was born June 6, 1923 in Raymond, NH the son and oldest of six of the late Arthur A. and Pearl M. (Smith) Davies.

A lifelong resident of Fremont, he was a graduate of Sanborn Seminary. He worked for 20 years for General Electric, Aircraft Engines, prior to that for the former Poplin Farms in Fremont. He was a volunteer Police and fireman for the town of Fremont.

He was a member of the Raymond VFW, he enjoyed, camping, motorcycling, Bowling and bass fishing.

He was the oldest living WWII veteran in Fremont and served in the US Army.

Family members include his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth R. (Bolduc) Davies, his children, Stephen Davies of Deerfield and Patricia Davies Chase and her husband, Frank of Kingston, four grandchildren, Stephen Chase and companion, Shawna Klohs, Amanda Huber and her husband, Daniel, Kimberly Matteau and companion, Chris Sprague and Kayla Davies and 5 great grandchildren, Kenneth and Kaden Matteau, Shayla, Daniel and Elizabeth Huber, Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Friday at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family from 10 AM until the hour of the service. Spring Burial will be in the Village Cemetery, Fremont.
