Wanda Imogean Hensley, age 77 of Lenoir City went home to Heaven on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at her home after a short battle with cancer. Wanda was born on February 18, 1938 in Cave Creek, Roane County to Ray and Maude Hines. On August 3, 1955, she married Billy Hensley in Lenoir City, TN. Wanda was a member of West Broadway Baptist Church in Lenoir City. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Edith Hines and brother, Sam and Pete Hines. Survived by her husband of 60 years, Billy Hensley; their three children: Zona Hensley DeVaney, Billy Darrell Hensley and wife, Judy, Ray David Hensley and Amy Vickers; special niece, Connie Spann; six grandchildren: Christy Guitard and husband, J. D., Billy Jack Hensley and wife, Ashley, Candice Russell, Brandi Allums, Christina DeVaney, and Stacia Hensley; 10 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Larry Ridings; brother and sister-in-law, John and Della Hines; sisters-in-law, Jewell Hensley and Brenda Johnson; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thanks to Home Health Care and Hospice of East TN for their kindness and care during Mrs. Hensley's illness. Flowers in Wanda's memory will be appreciated. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2nd at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Eddie Click officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 Friday morning and proceed to the Lenoir City Cemetery for graveside services at 11:00 a.m. "That we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love becomes part of us".
