Marie Foster Harris, a lifelong resident of Buncombe County, was reunited with her loved ones in Heaven on April 1st, three days before her 83rd birthday. She was greeted by her parents Dillard and Dollie Foster, a daughter Glenna Harris, a great-granddaughter Hannanh Bartlett, and her husband of over 64 years, Glenn Harris.

She leaves behind a son Cecil Harris (Tonya) of Mills River, grandson Marshal Harris, two step-grandchildren Anthony Doan, and Sabrina Doan Hudson, step-great grandson Owen Hudson, granddaughter Charissa Harris, great-granddaughters Grace and Hayley Bartlett, and two great-grandsons Cooper and Parker Burkhalter.

She was a wonderful mother and mamaw. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. She was known for her sharp wit, and spunk.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 3rd from 6 to 8 PM in the chapel of Wilson Family Funeral Service in Black Mountain. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 4th at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Steven Israel, and Rev. Jimmy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Sky View Memorial Park.
