Melissa Faye Dawson, of Ozark, loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, departed this life on May 28, 2006, following a courageous 18 month battle with cancer, surrounded by family in her home.
Melissa's many joys were centered around her family and friends. Melissa was born March 2, 1962 in Benton, Arkansas, to John and Eloise Hyatt. She was united in marriage to Richard Scott Dawson on August 13, 1996.
Melissa was preceded in death by her father, John Hyatt. Survivors include her husband, Richard Scott; a son, Jeremy Masters and wife, Deb, San Diego, California; two daughters, Carrie Paswaters and husband, Daniel, Springfield, and Jessica Drennan, of the home; two grand- children, Dylan Rodney Paswaters, and Madison Skye Paswaters; her mother, Eloise Hyatt, Benton, Arkansas; a sister, Margaret Thomas, Texarkana, Texas; a brother, Bill Hyatt and wife, Mimi, Little Rock, Arkansas; other relatives and many friends. Melissa was loved by all who knew her.
A visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 4, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Memorial contributions may be made in Melissa's memory at the funeral home.
