She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Celia Ray. She resided in Spring Lake Village in Southington for many years before moving to Tiverton, RI. She was employed by Clark Bros. Bolt Co., Mutual Life Insurance, Prentice Hall and Kregs until her retirement. Florence was very active in the Plantsville Congregational Church. She loved to spend her summers in E. Hampton.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Erik, Allan and his wife Julie, Kurt and his wife Beth and Scott. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Joshua Ammesmaki, Nicole Magrum, Cassandra, Zachary, Sarah, Hannah, Laura and Alex. She was the mother of the late LeRoy and Lawrence Smith and grandmother of the late Kristen Smith.
