Harry J. Daniels, 81, 540 Division St., Elizabethton, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 1995, at Anderson Health Care Center, Gray, following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Daniels was a lifelong Carter County resident and a son of the late Hugh Taylor and Luta Carter Daniels.

He was a retired agent for Independent Life Insurance Co.

Mr. Daniels was a member and deacon of West Side Christian Church, Elizabethton, where he was also a member of the Men's Sunday School Class.

He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Dashiell Masonic Lodge No. 238 F&AM, Jericho Shrine Temple, Watauga Commandery No. 25, R.D. Keller Chapter No. 214 and Order of the Eastern Star Sycamore Chapter No. 163.

Mr. Daniels was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Geneva Lynch Daniels, in 1993, three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Dreama Giles, Elizabethton; one brother, Roby Daniels, Elizabethton; one grandson, Stephen G. Giles, Seattle; one granddaughter, Lori Ann Giles, Ridgewood, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.
