Hazel L. Berry-Goodwin, 81, of Portage, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Hazel was born on January 13, 1934 in Jackson Township, Wood County, Ohio to the late Marion and Dorothy (Herbert) Hillard. She married Jack Goodwin from Merritt, Michigan in Portage Ohio and he preceded her in death in 2011. Hazel is survived by her first husband: Joseph Berry, of Portage, Ohio; a daughter: Cheryl (Tom) Dorman, of Bowling Green, Ohio; a son: Michael (Therese) Berry, of Columbus, Ohio; daughter-in-law: Paula Berry, of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren: Douglas (Eva) Dorman, of Batavia, Illinois; Kevin (Jenna) Dorman, of Los Angeles, California; great grandchildren: Ella, Andrew and Lyla; and a brother Raymond (Elaine) Hillard, of Portage, Ohio. Along with her parents and husband Jack, Hazel was preceded in death by a son: Daryl Berry in 2011 and a sister: Eleanor Deutschman. Hazel was a graduate of Bowling Green, High School and after high school she went on to study nursing at St. Vincent School of Nursing. Hazel went on to work for the United Services Federal Credit Union in Toledo Ohio where she worked for over 30 years as the Manager. Hazel was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Portage, Ohio, where she also served as church treasurer. Hazel enjoyed traveling the country with her husband Jack. She was an avid listener of NPR, enjoyed listening to audio books and loved to learn. Hazel was known for her dedication to her career and most of all being a devoted mother and a loving grandmother and great grandmother. In keeping with Hazel's wishes, there will be no Funeral Service, however Memorial Contributions in Hazel's honor may be made out to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, NW Ohio Chapter, Research Foundation 401 Tomahawk Drive, Maumee, Ohio 43537
