Her funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday afternoon, April 3, 2015, at the graveside in Berkeley Memorial Gardens. Interment will follow, directed by DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM Friday.
Mrs. Hales was born April 25, 1941, in Ontonagon, MI, a daughter of Ed Larson and Vernice Evelyn McDonald Enegren. She was a member of the Summerville Church of God and was a former housekeeper at the Holiday Inn. Mrs. Hales enjoyed cooking, spending time with her husband, who she affectionately called "My Honey", and spending time with her family.
Surviving are, her husband, Gilbert L. "June Bugg" Hales, Jr.; a brother, Ray E. Larson and his wife, Frances, of Moncks Corner; two nieces, Debra L. Rivera and her husband, Juan, of Givhans, and Melanie L. Bazemore and her husband, Ray, of Sandridge; five great nieces and nephews and five great-great nieces and nephews.
