WIFE OF LOPEZ, FRED TELLEZE
CPL US ARMY AIR FORCES

LOPEZ, Monica Agnes (nee: Miera), age 87, passed away March 29, 2015 in Southfield, Michigan. She was born May 4, 1924 in Bayard, Nebraska to Casimira and Pedro Miera.

Agnes was a senior in high school when Pearl Harbor was bombed, but as soon as she graduated, she and her mother moved from Bayard to Cheyenne, Wyoming to join her 2 sisters Molly and Bea. She worked at United Airlines as a riveter and on electrical wiring. After the war, she met a soldier named Fred Lopez at the Woolworth Five and Dime store. They were later married and moved to Ogden where they raised 8 children.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic church until she moved to Michigan in 2012 to live with her daughter Tami.

Home and family were most important to mom and she worked hard to care for her children and grandchildren. She was a very loving mother and wife and we loved and respected her for her patience and counseling. Thank you for all you did for us.

She is survived by her husband Fred Lopez , sister Molly Lopez, daughters Rita (Greg) Low, Debbie (Blaine) Campbell, Tami Lopez, Dr. Celeste Lopez, Valerie Lopez, and sons David (Kathy) Lopez, Mark Lopez, and Darryl (Robyn) Lopez, 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

When she gets to heaven, she will be welcomed into the open arms of those who went before her; parents Pedro and Casimira Miera, sisters Bea Cordova and Philomena Tafoya, brothers Tony and Ralph Miera; great-grandchild Alexis Pendley.

Instate at St. James Church 46325 Ten Mile Road, Novi, Tuesday April 7 from 10:00am until the funeral Liturgy at 10:30am.
