Ms. Morgan, 95, died March 27, 2015 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 30, 2015, 2:00 p.m., in the chapel at Parsons Mortuary. Burial was at Dr. O.A. Kirk Cemetery in Linden. She was the daughter of the late Lillie Mercer and Walter Mercer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert Blankenship. and her second husband, Vester Morgan; seven brothers, Joe Mercer, Obie Mercer, Ray Mercer, Johnny Mercer, Arlie Mercer, Robert Mercer, and Dewey Mercer; one sister, Mary Lou Hendrix; and four grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Charlie (Sue) Blankenship of Lewisburg, and Johnny (Evelyn) Blankenship of Linden; one daughter, Ann Blankenship of Decaturville; a brother, Larry Mercer of Linden; one grandchild, and five great grandchildren.
