Mr. Timothy Alan Hunt, 55, of Wilkesboro, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2015, at Wilkesboro Baptist Church with Dr. Earl Davis and the Rev. Tad Craig officiating. Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 Honor Guard will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the Church Fellowship Hall.
Mr. Hunt was born Feb. 4, 1960, in Henry County, Va. to Ronald Dennis and Janette Wilson Hunt. He was a police officer with the Blowing Rock Police Department. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy where he served for 20 years. Tim was a mason and a member of the Statesville Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Rachl Dare Miles and husband, Ethan, of Statesville; two sons, Timothy Alan Hunt, II of Wilkesboro and Jackson Thomas Hunt of Statesville; three grandchildren, Spencer Wilson Hunt, Millie Jane Miles and Vivienne Leigh Miles; one brother, Steve Hunt and Angie Rogers of Hickory; and one nephew, Nicholas Ryan Hunt.
Mr. Hunt served seven years as a Wilkes County Sheriff deputy before becoming an officer for the Blowing Rock Police Department.
