Charles M. Lemmon, 90, of Nettle Hill died Monday, July 28, 1958, at his home after a lingering illness.
Born September 7, 1877, at Jollytown, he was the son of Salathiel and Nancy Renner Lemmon, both deceased.
He was twice married. His first wife, Mary L. Hennen, is deceased. His second wife, Clara Hughes, survives.
Mr. Lemmon was a member of the Oak Forest Methodist Church of St. Cloud, W. Va., the Greene County Fox Chasers Association, and the Moose Lodge of Hundred, W. Va.
Besides his wife, the following children by his first marriage, survive: Ethel, wife of Francis F. Pettit, county commissioner of Washington County; Elizabeth, wife of Claude Mansfield, of Holbrook; Edward S, Luke and Robert L. of Holbrook; Guy V. of Waynesburg; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was a retired farmer and a former school director in Jackson Township.
Mr. Lemmon was the last of his family.
