Mrs. Calhoun was born Nov. 29, 1928, in Coweta County to the late John Drewry and Cora Lee Beckom. She was a interior designer at The Drapery Shoppe, and was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Eugene Calhoun. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Warner Robins and the Faith Sunday School Class.
A funeral will be held Monday, July 24, 2000, at 11 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home, 417 S. Houston Lake Road, Warner Robins. The Revs. William Atha, Billy Atkins, Henry Calhoun, and Carl Calhoun and Dr. Tolbert Moore will officiate, and burial will be at 4 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan.
Surviving are her children, Linda Spann of Macon, Ellen Moore of Suwanee, and Ronald G. Calhoun of Tybee Island; brothers, Gary Beckom of Griffin and Tony Beckom of Raymond; sisters, Maudene Benton of Lithonia, Francis Lewis of Grantville, Catherine Slaton of Raymond and Annie Belle Smith of Concord, Calif.; grandchildren Zion and Trinity Calhoun of Warner Robins, Lori Spann of Savannah, H. Walter Spann of Warner Robins, Daniel, Laura, and Ryan Moore, all of Suwanee, and Brian and Jason Moore of Marietta.
