Virginia “Jeannie” Ellison died peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 69 years, Lester E. Ellison. Jeannie was born in New York City to Peter and Florence Hidalgo. She was a city girl but met and fell in love with a Texan. While in Texas she worked at NASA. After they moved to New Jersey she ran a securities corporation. Jeannie and Les had a wonderful life together that included multiple trips around the world. She was a remarkable wife, mother, and Mimi and will be missed.

She is survived by their 2 daughters, Leslie Nussbaum and her husband Ed and Lisa Hogan and her husband John. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Edward Nussbaum, Kellie Nussbaum, Liane Hogan, Dean Hogan, and Sean Hogan and one great-grandson, Edison Nussbaum.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 11, 2015 for Jeannie and Les in the Russell Haven of Rest Chapel. Carl Hidalgo will be officiating. Another service will be held in June when their ashes are returned to Mount Vernon, Texas, their final resting place. Arrangements are under the care of Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2335 Sandridge Road, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043
