Joyce Ann Engle, a resident of Junction City, passed away in Junction City on March 30, 2015 at the age of 67.

Joyce was born on Jan. 12, 1948 in Abilene to Donald L. and Eveleigh Parmenter Engle. She attended Junction City Elementary School. She graduated from Junction City High School in 1966. She attended Emporia State Teachers College for one year. She worked in the advertising department at Gibson’s in Junction City, The Daily Union advertising department, Junction City Abstracting Company, and Woolworth Distribution Center in the advertising departments. She also worked as a secretary at the First Presbyterian Church in Junction City for 20 years.

She is survived by her mother, Eveleigh Turnbull of Junction City; a brother, Kenneth Engle and his wife Dorothy of Chapman; two aunts, Linda Kepka of Chapman and Fern Parmenter of Houston, Texas; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at the Abilene Cemetery on April 4 at 10 a.m. Pastor Matthew Glasgow will officiate. The family has chosen cremation. Burial of the ashes will be at the Abilene Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church in Junction City. Memorials may be sent in care of the Londeen Funeral Chapel, Box 429, Chapman, KS 67431.

The Londeen Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
