LOMBARD: Lawrence Allen Lombard, 71, of Oroville, died Monday, March 30, 2015, in Oroville. Arrangements are under the direction of Affordable Mortuary, 893-4292.

Larry was born in Santa Cruz, California on June 9, 1943 and passed away on March 30, 2015 at his residence in Oroville, California, after a short battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of forty years, Marcia. Larry will be greatly missed by his son, Michael (Debbie) Lombard of Sun Vally, Nevada; his daughter, Michelle (Albert Koker) Lombard of Oroville; granddaughter, Goldie Loy and great grandson, Samuel Planas of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Larry was a life-long resident of Oroville and joined the United States Marine Corp in 1961. He served his country until 1966 and was a proud Viet Nam veteran. After leaving the Marines, he had many jobs including working in construction of the Oroville Dam. He was employed by Louisiana Pacific Lumber as a boiler operator from 1977 until its closure in 1993.

Larry had very true and loyal friends who continued to care for and visit with him until the end. Their love and support of Larry is greatly appreciated.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on April 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at The Fraternal Order of Eagles, 2010 Montgomery Street, Oroville, California 95966
