Elisabeth is the daughter of Jean Theriault and Jeanne Landry. She married Joseph Trahan on 12 November 1725, in Grand-Pré, Acadie. They are the parents of the following:
1) Charles (1730-1785) md Marie-Anne-Madeleine Landry
2) Marie (1732-1794) md (a) Francois Granger and (b) Simon Leblanc
3) Elisabeth (1746-1784) md Pierre Theriault

She died off the coast of Virginia, where they were sent in exile. Virginia refused to accept the Acadians, so they were sent on to England, where they were treated as prisoners of war. They were imprisoned in coastal detention centers, where they remained during the whole Seven Years War.
