Solomon Hornbeck was the son of Daniel Hornbeck; and the husband of Letitia Cleaver, daughter of William cleaver. He left Hardy County, WV, and settled in Bullitt County, KY, following the American Revolution. He was among the pioneers to that area of Kentucky, buying a tract of timberland and creating a homestead. There he farmed until his death.
